EGUDE Trust was founded by Dr Ezekiel Guti, who used to meet the destitute, needy and poor people whenever he went for missionary assignments. He was touched by the plight of the needy and would then respond to these using his own resources. Many families were assisted with food, clothing, blankets and money for fees. He also provided spiritual counseling and support to those who were affected. As a result of the overwhelming demand, it was then decided that the  Trust (EGUDE) be set up to address the problems in whole.

The Trust has broadened its operations to address not only orphans and vulnerable children needs, but all vulnerable communities in areas where it operates in a more holistic manner. It operates on a non-denominational basis.
